Lucas Ryan {5 months old!}

{So, I'll admit, I'm a little late to the party. Haven't done a month-date on L at all I don't think... And I'm about 3 weeks late for his 5 month-day... But hey, no better time to start than now, right? Right. So, here goes...}

My little Lucas turned 5 months on the 9th of January. It's like a switch went off in his head the second he turned 5 months. He sleeps nearly through the night, waking to feed sometimes at 5am, but usually goes back to sleep until 7:30. He's already a MUCH better sleeper than his big brother was at this age... He stopped crying all the time as well. With John and I getting a little more sleep, life has calmed down, a lot. {Although, we've gone through 4 rounds of illness in the past month, but that's another post entirely!}

{Stats}
Weight - 18lbs 15oz
Length - Unsure, was 26.5 inches at his 4 month appt. {which had him in the 70th percentile}

L is a BIG boy with an even bigger appetite. He hasn't had any of the dairy intolerance stuff we went through with G {Thank God!}... We started him on solids once he turned 5 months and he's been so much happier since! He was hungry, bless his heart! He has now mastered opening his mouth for the spoon and gets super excited when you put him in the high chair. He gets 3 solid meals a day and is off the breast. He's now strictly bottle fed and we're all much happier and stable that way.

He has the best smile ever. Always smiling. Smiles every time he see me or Daddy or Big Brother. Laughs at Baxter more than anyone. Very social baby. Loves be held and cuddled more than anything. I knew all the crying would be worth it at some point!

L mastered rolling at about 4.5 months. He could roll both ways and decided that it was boring and he'd much rather be sitting up. So, ever since, hes been sitting on the floor playing happily when he's awake. He picks up toys with ease and of course everything goes into his mouth... G has finally taken notice of him and oftentimes, I will sit on the couch and breathe for a moment while the two of them sit on the floor entertaining themselves. WHAT?! It's awesome, people. Awesome.

Now, I catch L trying to get up on all fours. I'm telling you. This kid is going to be crawling in no time... and I think it will make for a much happier L. This kid has wanted to move since he was born. I totally think that was his problem all along... How much longer do I have to do this newborn thing? I want to MOVE!

Anywho, there's an update for you. He's hitting all of his milestones with ease and I am incredibly proud of him. I never thought I could love another human so much. But he is so different than G. They are like night and day, really... and I love them both so much... {This is well rested Sara talking. Ha.}

Until next {month} time...
